Kaidara Studio is the system management console that provides your team leaders the administration capabilities required for configuration, user creation and user-role definition, language specification, and user interface options that are used in Kaidara Advisor.

Kaidara Advisor uses a model of the application area, or subject domain, to provide a conceptual framework underlying the retrieval engine. This domain model is similar in nature to an ontology or topic map for the subjects to be handled by the system. The domain model provides a standard vocabulary and conceptual relationships between terms. As such, the domain model provides a bridge between the vocabulary presented by the user in a search request and the vocabulary in the materials being searched. This structure provides an enormous benefit to the user because Kaidara Advisor is able to retrieve materials that contain synonyms or conceptually related terms (e.g. oysters and mussels).

Kaidara Studio provides the editing mechanism for creating and maintaining the domain models that provide this advanced retrieval capability. Kaidara Advisor maintains a structured representation, or index, of the contents of each repository of materials, knowledgebase or other information source. The representation consists of attributes and value pairs that describe each entry, case, or document.The representation also includes search configurations, to set weighting and relationships among the structured components. Without IT involvement, administrators may fine tune the structure and search configurations using Studio to further increase the speed and accuracy of answers being provided to the customers.
